Dear SMA Community,

As the founder and CEO of Southeastern Montessori Academy, it is with profound gratitude and immense pride that I reflect on our journey of nearly two decades in transforming education in Ghana.

Our Founding Vision

When we established SMA in 2004, our vision was simple yet ambitious: to create an educational institution that would redefine learning in Ghana. We dreamed of a school where children wouldn't just memorize facts but would learn how to think, create, and innovate. A place where education would be a joyful journey of discovery rather than a rigid process of instruction.

Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world. At SMA, we are equipping our children with this weapon, not for conflict, but for creation and positive transformation.

The SMA Difference

What sets SMA apart is our unwavering commitment to the Montessori philosophy, adapted thoughtfully to our Ghanaian context. We believe that every child is born with innate curiosity and potential. Our role as educators is not to fill empty vessels but to nurture and guide each child's natural development.

Global Standards

Pearson accreditation ensures international recognition

Local Values

GES certification maintains our Ghanaian heritage

Innovation

Constantly evolving teaching methodologies

Strategic Growth & Future Vision

From our humble beginnings with 35 students, we have grown into a thriving community of over 1,000 students. This growth has been organic and deliberate, guided by our core values and commitment to quality over quantity.

Looking ahead, our vision extends beyond our current campus. We are developing plans for:

  • Secondary School Expansion: Complete SHS and A-Level programs
  • Technology Integration: State-of-the-art STEM facilities
  • Teacher Development: Regional Montessori training center
  • Community Outreach: Educational programs for underprivileged communities

Partnership & Gratitude

Our achievements are not mine alone. They belong to our dedicated teachers, supportive parents, enthusiastic students, and committed board members. I extend my deepest gratitude to each member of our SMA family.

To our parents, thank you for entrusting us with your most precious treasures. To our teachers, thank you for your passion and dedication. To our students, thank you for inspiring us every day with your curiosity and achievements.

As we continue this journey, I invite you to join us in shaping the future of education in Ghana. Together, we can create a legacy of excellence that will impact generations to come.

With warm regards,

Madam Amina Omar
